College Bystanders: Coaching Students With Technology to Help Intoxicated Peers

Bystander logo

This feasibility study (AA020157; A.L. Dunn) will explore developing an innovative web-based bystander intervention program for college students. The program aims to provide students with the skills needed to overcome intervention-related anxiety, identify when intervention is appropriate, and to view themselves as helpers rather than bystanders to better take care of their friends and peers at social gatherings involving alcohol consumption. This study is funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
